Cast Your Vote on or Before November, 3!
This referendum is an important community decision and, ultimately, you will make that choice. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, and early/absentee voting will be available starting Friday, September 18, through Monday, November 2. There are three ways to cast your vote.
Early/Absentee Voting by Mail
(Friday, September 18 – Monday, November 2)
All eligible Minnesota voters can vote early by mail. To receive a ballot, you must first complete an absentee ballot application. Once your application is approved, a ballot will be mailed directly to you.
Complete an absentee ballot application and return it to your respective office:
Once your respective office receives your application, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. Ballots must be returned to your respective location by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, November 3) to be counted. Ballots received after Election Day cannot be counted.
Important: Due to potential postal delays, voters are encouraged to mail completed absentee ballots at least one week before Election Day or return them in person to your respective county election office.
Early/Absentee Voting In-Person

Voters may also vote early in person. Here’s how:
Extended voting hours include Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Monday, November 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Vote In-Person on Election Day
(Tuesday, November 3)

Mail-Ballot Instructions for Evergreen Township
Registered voters in the township of Evergreen are mail-ballot precincts and will automatically receive a ballot to complete and return.
If you live in Evergreen Township and are not registered to vote, please do so here no later than Friday, September 18. If you are not a registered voter, a ballot will not be automatically mailed to you, and you must request an absentee ballot using the instructions below. To receive a ballot, you must complete an absentee ballot application. Download the application, complete it, and return it to the Becker County Courthouse at 915 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.
Once they receive your completed absentee ballot application, an absentee ballot will be sent to you to complete.
Complete your absentee ballot and return it either by mail or in person to the Becker County Courthouse, located at 915 Lake Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.
All completed absentee ballots must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Click here to track your absentee ballot once it’s submitted. Due to postal delays, we recommend sending your completed ballot no later than Tuesday, October 20, to ensure it arrives on time. Otherwise, return your completed absentee ballot in person.
